The Poole Group of Diabetes UK is just one of the 430 or so voluntary groups located around the country and has been serving the diabetic community of Poole and its surrounding area for over 40 years.
OUR AIM … is to provide local help and support for people with both insulin and non insulin dependent diabetes and their carers, as well as contributing to the work of Diabetes UK nationally. At a local level, we raise the awareness and profile of diabetes and provide a voice for patients on their treatment via regular meetings with the hospital and Poole Primary Care Trust. A regular contribution is also made to diabetes research through our Head Office.
MEMBERSHIP … to our group is free but we do encourage our members to belong to Diabetes UK itself. If you have not already joined and would like a membership enrolment form please contact our Chairman BOB MOBERLY ON ( 01202) 692473

We also from time to time try to organize social evenings such as Skittles Evenings for our members to enjoy. In addition to this we participate in Diabetes Week to raise awareness and funds.
